Bamboo flooring, vinyl flooring, hardwood flooring
There is a wide variety of flooring
to choose from. The flooring gives a good look to the house. Depending on
the climate we can choose flooring.
If we live in cold countries we can use wooden floors as it keeps the floor
warm and so the house will be warm. We can either carpet
the whole house or leave the wooden floor and buy small carpets to cover
important places. This will be a good look for the living room. Wooden floors
are not that easier to maintain. But in cold countries they need to be used
to protect us from cold.
There are different tiles available to choose from. The marble is a famous
one. It is laid and then polished.
Depending on the size of the marble the price varies and big marbles have
better appearance than small ones.
Since if we lay small ones the lines joining the two tiles will be seen
.The larger the size of the marble the better but it will be costly, so
see our budget and decide upon large or small size marbles.
Mosaic flooring
is one which was famous long back. It is also laid and polished. Or some
times it is laid by applying a mixture of small colored stones and cement
and then when dried polishing with special machines. This gives good finish
if polished properly.
The Eurocon flooring is made by baking mud,. They have the finish of the
Terracotta items. They are made in such a way that they inter link with
each other . So laying is easy. They just fix together like a jig saw puzzle.
They give good appearance in front of the house as a pathway. for cars.
They give good appearance for platform as well.
The other types of flooring are granite and marbonite. They come in different
sizes. They can be pasted to the floor with cement mixture and then wiped
with wet cloth. Maintenance is easy as it needs only cleaning with wet mop.
They remain shinning life long. But can’t be polished later like marble.
For bathroom and kitchen we can use a little cheaper tiles, like the spartek
f or the floor and tiles for the walls. These places become water and hence
wooden floor can’t be used. Even carpets can’t be used in such places. They
have to be cleaned with mop almost every day to keep them neat and tidy.
Hence, proper choice of flooring is important.
The bathroom and toilet need to be washed every day. The kitchen needs to
be moped with wet mop every day as it tends to become sticky due to spilling
of oil or some cooked food.
