UNDERSTANDING ABOUT THE CARPETS

Apart from a luxury look, carpet is a must in cold places where the floor
gets cold and difficult to stamp with bare foot. If we put wooden
flooring or wear slippers it might help to a certain extent
but it is richer and looks good if we put carpet for the flooring. Depending
on what type of carpet we use and how it is made the house gets a royal
look.
Most of the houses are carpeted floor
to floor so the cost of the carpet should be taken into consideration.
If it is floor to floor we have to calculate the area of the carpet area
and decide what type of carpet we need for the house according to our budget.
We can buy costly one for the living and bed room and use dearer ones for
kitchen and dinning. We can even leave the kitchen bare so that the floor
can be cleaned with water since it is more likely to become dirty.
There are many types
of carpets to choose from .It depends on the fiber it has been
made. Some are thick and furry and others thin and smooth. Depending on
the thickness the richness increases. Before buying we have to see about
the maintenance of carpets. The have to be cleaned now and then at least
once or twice a year depending on the usage. We must buy one which is easily
washable especially if we have children at home
The carpet should be made from good fiber and woven tightly so that it won’t
fray easily.
The choice of fiber from which it has been made is very important.
Some are woven with wool, some with acrylic, nylon, polyester. We should
decide the fiber that suits our climate. In cold places wool will be better.
Some acrylic carpets look better than wool ones but it may not be soft as
wool. We can choose the fiber according to where we are going to use it.
For example in a sitting room we can use costly curtain where as in the
kitchen and dinning something which is cheap and manageable.
The Persian carpets are very famous. They are costly and of very good quality.
In hot countries these carpet can be used for a small portion in the living
room. , where as the rest of the place is left as such. The sofa set can
be put in the carpet and this gives a new getup to the living room. It will
be easy to clean by just folding the carpet and cleaning and then use it
again after cleaning. Carpet
laying is a costly affair and has to be done after proper planning.
